Also known as NearChukwu (meaning 'Close to God') I was born in Lagos Nigeria, grew up in South Africa and discovered my true calling in Canada, whilst working with challenged children through the early childhood education program at Mohawk College in Ontario, Canada.
I am a qualified early childhood football coach with a Curriculum and Coaching Foundation Diploma from United Soccer Coaches (USC), formerly known as National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). I also hold a certificate in Animation, specializing in Character Designing through Boston Media College, South Africa.
Due to my love of traveling to various countries, I have had several opportunities to work with challenged children from a variety of multicultural backgrounds. Each child is unique and does not need to be limited in expressing that uniqueness. Thus, the Montessori philosophy aligns with my belief system in Early Childhood Development/Education and I am committed to continuous learning in this area.
In January 2017, my spouse, Mich and I decided to visit Cayman Islands for our holiday and charity work. I volunteered as a football coach for a Girls Under 11 team... then later volunteered at Island Montessori School.
My favorite activities in my spare time is to consciously and unconsciously remember that art is football (soccer), Soccer (football) is Art, getting enough hot yoga therapy, cycling, listening and sharing good music with Mich and my son and traveling.
