Shiela Mae De Villa Toddler Teacher

Shiela was raised in the Philippines before moving to Cayman in early 2016, having obtained her bachelor’s degree  in education from the Central Luzon State University. After completing her degree, Shiela worked in the public school system as a primary teacher, before completing her Montessori training. It was a love of the Montessori method which drew her to the early years environment, and Shiela joined a Montessori school in the Philippines for two years, before then moving to Cayman.

Shiela has been in Cayman for several years, working at another local preschool, as well as a nanny for a family with young children.  Shiela and her husband married in early 2023, and have developed strong roots in Cayman, serving as a lay reader with St. Ignatius church, and serving as a volunteer with the Missionary Families of Christ.

With a passion for dancing and playing the guitar and piano, Sheila loves engaging with our little ones through dance, music, arts and crafts, and believes that every child is special and each one learns to explore their world through their surroundings.
