Ms. Mim - Casa Teacher

Originally from Dublin Ireland, Mim gained a Masters in Anthropology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She wrote her thesis on Children’s Imaginary Play. Mim spent her summers working in camps, teaching sailing and kayaking and volunteering for the Special Olympics. She has experience working with both adults and children with special needs. Mim helped out at Cayman Theraplay before joining Island Montessori in 2017 as a Casa Assistant and head of our aftercare programme. “Seeing the way the Montessori programme adapts to the individual child and brings out the best in them inspires me to learn more” she says. This school year 18/19 Mim is will be joining us full time as a Montessori qualified Casa Teacher. Married to Adam, in her spare time Mim stays active playing many sports, especially ultimate Frisbee and loves to travel!
