Lexi Joi Ebanks Garcia Assistant Teacher
Lexi Joi is a multi-generational Caymanian with a passion for education and supporting young learners. She attended both private and public schools in the Cayman Islands, including First Baptist Christian School, Savannah Primary School, and Clifton Hunter High School, experiences that helped shape her perspective on learning and child development.
In 2021, Lexi moved with her family to London, England, broadening her understanding of the world and exposing her to new cultures and perspectives. She has since spent time between the Cayman Islands, where her family has deep roots, the Philippines, where her father is from, and the United Kingdom. These experiences have strengthened her appreciation for cultural diversity and the importance of community and belonging.
Lexi is currently studying online in an Early Childhood Education programme and plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in Education with a focus on Early Years. As a neurodiverse learner with ADHD and a math-related learning disability, she understands that every child learns differently and is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where children can thrive.
In her spare time, Lexi enjoys spending time at the beach, creating arts and crafts, trying new foods, and making memories with family and friends.
