Jacinda Simms Lead Casa Teacher

Born and raised in Grand Cayman, Jacinda has been a valued member of the Island Montessori team since 2021.

Before joining Island Montessori, she spent four years at the YMCA of the Cayman Islands where she discovered her passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.

After completing her AMI Montessori certification, Jacinda then furthered expanded her Montessori education in 2023 by completing her NAMC (North American Montessori Centre) certification, further deepening her knowledge and commitment to Montessori education. This training further served to support her work in our Casa programme, where Jacinda has continued to expand her experience working with children, always acknowledging and embracing the Montessori philosophy in her daily practice.

 Through her dedication and commitment to Montessori education, she has progressed to a new role as Casa Lead Teacher, while continuing to further her studies in Early Childhood Education.

Outside of school, Jacinda enjoys practising yoga, journaling, photography, and spending quality time with her family.
